Arctic Cat TRV

Arctic Cat has eliminated nine machines for 2009 while creating 13 new models. For front-to-back 2-UP ATV riders, Arctic Cat is expanding its TRV Cruiser line and are tweaking the engine options on the standard TRVs.

For 2009 there are two Cruiser models- the TRV 100H2 EFI Cruiser that sports the Arctic Cat big 90 degree twin engine and the TRV 700 H1 EFI that features Cat’s 700 class fuel injected single cylinder engine. These TRVs boast a long list of standard features such as a windshield that is connected to a two piece fairing, mirrors, cup holder, comfortable 2-Up seats with heated hand grips and a big and comfortable backrest for the passenger. The handlebars are heated and there is a big and lockable touring case on the back. These machines have great looking 12 inch aluminum wheels.

The other two 2-UP ATVs in the TRV lineup are the TRV 550 with Cat’s new engine and the TRV 400 that has a 366 air cooled single cylinder engine. These standard TRVs have expanded wheelbases for stability and great seats.

The Arctic Cat TRV 400 has an automatic transmission and an independent suspension for making riding tandem lots of fun. The 366cc liquid cooled engine with single overhead cam delivers lots of power and gives you instant gratification when you hit the throttle. The independent suspension features a low profile and a low seat design so the center of gravity is low but it still maintains 10 inches of ground clearance. This means you can hammer through tight corners and roll right over big obstacles on the trail.

The passenger seat is roomy and comfortable and can be removed for versatility. Behind the passenger seat is a touring rack. You can take the passenger seat off and add an optional 200 pound capacity Speedrack or an optional heavy duty cargo box.

The automatic transmission on the Arctic Cat TRV is very easy to operate and includes a dynamic engine braking system. There is a Hi/Low shift range and a long life and maintenance-free belt.

When the trail becomes challenging, the electric shift lets you shift from two wheel drive to four wheel drive while on the fly by just punching a button. When you need lots of traction in the mud, simply activate the front differential lock.
