Can-Am has a saying: “Most quads look great on paper. Problem is, you don’t ride on paper.” How true this is. The Can-Am Renegade is a crossover quad that really has it all going on. This ATV has something for everyone with the hopes that everyone likes speed. The Renegade has explosive power for both on the track and on the trail. The Can-Am Renegade boasts the industry’s most powerful engine, the 71 horsepower Rotax 800R. The Renegade gives you outstanding sport performance and 4×4 terrain ability that blows the competition out of the water.

There are two Renegades from Can-Am, the Renegade 800R EFI and the Renegade 800R EFI X xc. Both sport the 799.9 cc V-twin EFI engine with 71 horsepower.

The 800R EFI offers you a RS-type TTI rear suspension with 9 inches of wheel travel and fade-resistant HPG shocks. The wheels are cast aluminum wheels with Holeshot ATR sport radial tires that grip whatever terrain you are rolling on. You get separate front and rear brake controls, a multi -purpose digital gauge and four powerful 60 watt project beam lights to light up the night. You are able to ride all day long with the full floorboards and kick-up aluminum pegs.

The Can-Am Renegade X xc is race inspired. You get dual mode Dynamic Power Steering, aluminum beadlock wheels with reinforcement rings, front KYB HPG aluminum piggyback shocks with dual speed compression and rear KYB HPG shocks with remote reservoir shocks. Also added is an aluminum skid plate, handlebar wind deflectors and the Can-Am’s X xc package graphics and seat cover.

Can-Am has another saying: The facts tell a lot. The ride tells it all.

You will know exactly what the folks at Can-Am are talking about the first time you climb on a Renegade and take it for a spin.

When Can-Am developed the DS ATV they re-invented how a sport ATV is built. Can-Am was the first to try a no-weld all aluminum frame, a real hollow axle and inverted brake calipers. It all worked very well for the company and the proof shows when you see the Can-Am DS four wheeler.

Can-Am offers three models of the DS: The DS 450 EFT, DS 450 Efi x MX and the DS 450 EFI X xc. The standard package features of all of the Can-Am quads include a Rotax 4-TEC 449 cc, liquid cooled, single cylinder 4 stroke engine, an electric start, five speed manual transmission and a no-weld ALTEC aluminum frame.

The suspension consists of KYB HPG aluminum piggback front shocks that have an impressive 9.5 inches of travel and an R-type cast aluminum swingarm rear suspension. No matter the terrain, your ride will be smooth and effortless.

The Can-Am DS is ultra cool with its polished aluminum wheels, great looking front grill and racing-style kick-up foot pegs.

The DS 450 EFI has all the standard features plus an enhanced suspension with the addition of a reservoir rear shock with dual speed compression and preload adjustment with 10.7 inches of wheel travel. It offers an extra strength extended steering stem with anti-vibe mounts. The EFI has aluminum nerf bars with removable netted heel guards, a aluminum front bumper that is plate-ready, black aluminum wheels (the rear wheel features Trac-lock technology) and X package seat cover and X mx race graphics, to name a few.

The Can-AM EFI X xc has the new X xc race graphics and color scheme and enhanced suspension, the aluminum nerf bars with removable heel guards as well as larger tires that are 6-ply and a higher seat. The EFI X xc also has Trac-lock front and rear wheels.

No matter which model you choose, the Can-Am DS four wheelers are trail-ready and powered up to keep you grinning for years to come! These rough and ready quads are built to take whatever mother nature dishes out!

Can-Am offers quad lovers raw power, outstanding performance and rugged durability with the Outlander ATV.

The Can-Am Outlander is powered by a 71 horsepower, 799.9cc V twin EFI engine, so if speed is your thing, you are going to fall in love quickly with this quad. It is a blast to rip through tight trails and the handling is nimble.

The Can-AM Outlander 800R EFI XT offers Dynamic Power Steering (DPS) and cast aluminum wheels with ACT radial tires.

Taking it up a notch further the Outlander 800R EFI XT-P gives you rugged durability with its premium painted black plastics, handlebar wind deflectors and a factory installed winch that is equipped with a wired remote control that stows away neatly in the front storage compartment.

Each of the Outlander models use the same chassis components such as the front suspension that features a McPherson Strut system that is very firm but also soaks up big bumps on the trail. The rear consists of a TTI suspension or Trailing Torsional Independent suspension. Each wheel moves independently and the swingarm moves the wheels rearward when the suspension compresses instead of to the side. With this suspension the tire remains on the ground and it eliminates tire scrub which kills stability. Steering and balance is greatly enhanced on very rugged terrain.

The Can-Am Outlander’s four wheel drive system is called Visco-Lok which uses oil pressure that is triggered by wheel spin to lock up wet clutches. This system is automatic, so you do not have to engage it. The transfer of power does not make the wheels hop. This system transfers as much as 100 per cent of the power of the engine to whichever wheel has the traction.

The Can Am Outlander offers rugged cargo racks on the rear and front that can carry 300 pounds together, so you do not have to leave any gear behind.

The Outlander by Can-Am is a great looking ATV that is extremely durable and rugged and is built for speed as well as versatility .

Can-Am’s Outlander series offers a wide variation of engine sizes. The Can-Am Outlander Max is a two rider model which is built on a longer frame that is designed to carry the weight of two riders. It is very stable under load with the stretched axle placement. The great design gives your passenger his own footrests and comfortable and solid handholds. The passenger seat is elevated so he can get a clear view over the driver’s shoulder. The passenger backrest moves with the motion of the quad for great comfort.

The Can-Am Outlander Max is powered by a 500cc engine. This is a V twin configuration with EFI and a liquid cooled overhead cam with four valves per cylinder.

The front suspension is a McPherson strut set-up that is firm and also soaks up rough bumps. The rear is a TTI suspension. This Trailing Torsional Independent system on the rear allows each wheel to move independently which provides you with great stability and optimal travel on rocky surfaces.

The Can-Am Max with the large frame is ideal for add-ons so touring is comfortable and practical. The front and rear heavy duty cargo racks can hold 100 pounds in the front and 200 in the back.

Now for dimensions. The Outlander Max weighs in at a hefty 688 pounds, has a wheelbase of 59 inches, a length of 94 inches and a width of 46 inches. The fuel capacity is a full 5.4 gallons so fill-ups are few and far between. The Outlander Max is available in Viper Red or Yellow.

The Can-Am Outlander Max is an impressive machine. It has more than enough power to take you, your passenger and a whole lot of gear out into the wild and you can be sure that you will power up the steep hills with ease and cross those rocky creeks with no trouble at all.
