Kawasaki Mule

Kawasaki Mule
Kawasaki combines an ATV utility vehicle with a pick-up truck in its MULE (Multi-Use Light Equipment). The Kawasaki MULE lineup is built tough and gets those heavy jobs done around the property with ease.

The Mule vehicles have been very popular since their first release in 1988. The Mule is a true workhorse on the jobsite, ranch, farm or wherever a compact and powerful vehicle is needed. The Mule is designed to carry equipment and people. The engines work with a CTV (continuously variable transmission) and infinitely variable gear ratios that adjust to the load and driving conditions. Every Mule can tow 1200 lbs.

Kawasaki has given the entire ten vehicles of the Mule family upgrades, from the two wheel drive Mule 600 to the flagship 4010 Mule Trans 4×4 Diesel.

The new Kawasaki Mule 4000 Series has replaced the previous 3000 Series and the 4000 vehicles have a new truck-like styling and digital fuel injection (DFI). The 4010 now comes with electric power steering.

The bodywork of the new Mules is that of a pick-up truck. This change is very apparent in the front end, which looks less boxy and has a great new bumper. The panels are durable and the color molded panels resist and hide scratches. By pulling the dash-mounted knob, you can lift up the hood and see the deeper storage spaces with D-rings to help you secure your cargo.

The DFI allows for more smooth starts and better throttle response to reduce fuel consumption. For those cold mornings the system uses an automatic fast idle speed control, doing away with a manual choke.

The Kawasaki Mule 400 4×4, 4010 4×4, 4010 4×4 Camo, 4010 Trans4×4 and the 4010 Trans4×4 Camo all feature a powerful 617 cc, V twin, four stroke engine. The 4010 4×4 Diesel and the 4010 Trans 4×4 Diesel are powered by a liquid cooled, 3 cylinder diesel engine that provides 2,800 rpm of torque.

The 4010 Trans vehicles all have a transformable cargo beds. These vehicles have two rows of seats but the rear seat folds down to expand the cargo bed so you can carry more. The Trans Mule 4×4 won the best hunting vehicle award in 2006 by American Hunter. The large seating capacity and quiet and powerful engine makes it a great vehicle for groups of hunters or fishermen.

The 2009 Kawasaki Mule 600 is unchanged from last year with the exception of the flap in the rear housing for the tire. This has been made wider to stop mud from getting into the engine.

The Mule 620 4×4 and the 610 4×4 Camo have 24 inch tires with an improved thread pattern to improve traction on trails, quality of ride and the general tire wear.

The largest Mule is the 4010 Trans4×4 Diesel with a big and powerful 953cc liquid cooled, 3 cylinder four stroke OHV diesel.

People love the Kawasaki Mule for its durability, heavy working capacity and extreme durability.
