Polaris Ranger

Polaris Ranger
The hard working, smooth riding Polaris Ranger is available in three separate series, the 500 Series, 700 Series and 800 Series/youth. The folks at Polaris get excited when they see the potential for growth in the UTV market. The excitement induced them to split the side by side UTV models from its ATV group, forming a separate Ranger Division.

Polaris introduced the Ranger in 2006 and in 2007 came out with the hot-rod Ranger RZR that was so popular that demand exceeded production. More recently in 2008 they unveiled the Ranger Crew that can carry six people and their cargo.

In 2009 the Ranger Division is making news again. The Polaris Ranger is the number one selling side-by-side and it seems Polaris is not waiting around for the competition to catch up. The 2009 UTVs have a great new front end style that looks muscular with the sweptback grill and wing bumper on the rear. The headlights are set in to protect them and you are offered new tie down locations to secure the vehicle to a trailer. There is more under hood storage on the 2009 Rangers as well.

The MacPherson struts are gone on the Ranger XP and are replaced with dual A arms and coil spring over shock with adjustable damping. Some Ranger models allow you to go from easy steering and a pleasant ride to heavy duty industrial strength.

There is a full range of Pure Polaris accessories which includes a very versatile plow set-up. This is why the front end has pre-set mounting points.

The base model Ranger 4×4 has 30 horsepower which allows it to go 41 miles per hour and haul up to 1,000 pounds of gear or tow 1,500 pounds. The 499cc 4 stroke, liquid cooled single stroke engine utilizes fuel injection that gives you great starting in all conditions. Also on this model you get the on demand all-wheel drive system and Turf Mode that prevents yards and fields from being destroyed.

The Ranger XP has a 700cc twin engine that gives 40 horsepower that can go 50 miles per hour. This model has tilt steering and there is even a cup holder for your coffee.

The Polaris Ranger HD is the ultimate side-by-side and is a true working friend. This Ranger does all the other Rangers can do but more. This unit comes with assist power steering that makes it very easy to drive. It is very sure-footed thanks to the On-Demand AWD. The HD has the same engine as the XP.

The Polaris Rangers are great fun and will work as hard as you ask them to. The Ranger is a very popular line of working quads that no other manufacturer has even begun to match.
