The Yamaha Big Bear 400 has a fully independent front and rear suspension system. You get a big 10.5 inches of ground clearance on this beast. The Big Bear can cross obstacles without getting stuck on them and the tires really can dig in with the clearance provided. The IRS on the rear makes the ride comfortable for those day long trips.
The Big Bear 400 has the right shoes to play in the mud. The ITP Mudlite tires dig into the mud, plus these tires are lightweight so steering is easy.
The rear brakes on the Big Bear are enclosed in the same housing as the rear gears to seal them from mud.The rear brakes are designed to last the lifetime of the ATV because they are equipped five discs.
The 386cc, 4 stroke, SOHC, air cooled single cylinder engine is a power plant. You get a five speed transmission with reverse in the Big Bear 400 and a fully lockable shaft driven drive train which you select by pressing a button on the right side of the handlebars.

The Big Bear 250 is a two wheel drive vehicle with a compact chassis and a powerful 230cc, four stroke, SOHC, air cooled engine with a five speed automatic with reverse. The Big Bear 250 has a solid rear axle and ventilated front disc brakes, a large comfortable seat and more.
